The TRX-4 Sport is so popular it now comes kit form so you can build it just the way you like it from the ground up, instal the motor and ESC you like best, your favourite radio gear and a battery and charger and you're ready to scale your personal Everest.

The TRX-4 Sport kit comes fully outfitted with an entire complement of scale accessories as standard equipment. The expedition rack not only looks great, but provides rugged protection for the body shell. The body and expedition rack are outfitted some awesome scale bits like

EASY TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, IN COLOUR, WITH 1:1 PICTURES 

Traxxas kits aren't just for expert hobbyists, they're for everybody, they make it so simple that even your 10 year old could build this with a little guidance. Traxxas go the extra mile to make the instructions easy to follow and fun to use.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET IT RUNNING

• Transmitter (radio) and receiver
• Motor and ESC, a brushed system is better for torque if you want to use it for crawling or trailing, but you could fit a 1:10 scale brushless system too.
• Steering servo (9kg min.)
• Battery to suit and charger
• Metric hex drivers in 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3mm
• Phillips head screwdriver
• Needle nose pliers
• Safety glasses
• Tyre glue
• Polycarbonate paint for the body shell (ask for a 'how to paint your bodyshell' sheet too) 

PORTAL POWER

You get to build your own TRX-4 portal axle assemblies in this kit. These all new to RC axles lift the chassis at the wheels for huge cente pumpkin ground clearance. In order to achieve the same clearance with no portals ( and not get stuck) the tyres would need to be more than 1inch taller. The portals let you clear rougher terrain without getting hung up.

TORQUE TWIST ELIMINATED 

Total axle gear reduction with portals is more than twice non-portal designs, virtually eliminating torquw twist.

CANYON 1.9IN TRAIL TYRES

Traxxas Canyon Trail tyres with foam inserts are super soft and grippy for superior bite on rocky surfaces with convincing scale realism. a 12mm steel hex drives the wheels. 

PRE-ASSEMBLED GTS SHOCKS

The shocks in this kit are pre-assembled for you and deliver silky smooth dampening performance. These have aluminium threaded shock bodies, for screw ring tension adjustment, an o-ring cap seal and dual x-ring shaft seals. Just add oil and install. 

PRE-CUT CLEAR BODY SHELL 

The TRX-4 Sport body shell comes pre-cut and ready to paint or mount as is. You get the window masks and decal sheets so you can do your own personal custom paint job, you will need polycarbonate paint for this (we recommend Tamiya PS paint). The detailed, injection moulded grille and tailgate are fitted with light lenses, red in back and white in front, so you can add your own LED light kit if you want.

LOCKED DIFFS 

Full time locked diffs, front and rear, transform your motors torque into unstoppable climbing action and drag brake. With no slippage possible all four wheels claw upward with equal traction, powering TRX-4 Sport over the toughest obstacles.

STEEL GEAR TRANSMISSION

The single speed transmssion is geared for low low torque that you will need to scale the steepest grades. Steel gears provide the Traxxas tough durability that Traxxas pride themselves on.

STEEP APPROACH ANGLE

TRX-4 has a 59deg approach angle, the same at the back so it's harder than ever to get hung up on obstacles. The front mounted motor biases weight toward the front of the vehicles for superior climbing ability. 

IMPROVED GEOMETRY

Portal axles raise the link mounts, centre driveshaft, steering drag link and the tie rod up out of harms way. Centre ground clearance is increased whilst critical driveshaft and suspension link angles are reduced.

PRE-ASSEMBLED SUSPENSION LINKS

The suspension links provided in the kit are pre-assembled so you wont have to worry about them not all being the same length and are 5mm thick for superior strength. They have heavy duty rod ends with captured steel pivot balls for maximum movement. 

WATER RESISTANT

TRX-4 Sport kit comes with a fully sealed receiver box, the lid with a silicone o-ring seal and a water resistant rubber mat at the top and bottom of the slot where the wires go in. Which means rain, snow, ice, sleet, mud, whatever, nothing stops TRX-4. 

RIGID STEEL FRAME

All the TRX-4 variants come with a rigid steel c-channel frame chassis and the Sport kit is noexception. This design feature has come to be known as the best industry staple there is for scale crawling and provides an exceptionally rigid backbone for TRX-4 Sport.
