VXL-3s Power System

Slash's Velineon VXL-3s 3500kv brushless motor and 3S capable ESC delivers the ultimate in efficiency, speed, and run-time with precise and responsive throttle control. Slash VXL transforms 11.1 volts of 3s LiPo power into 60+ mph speed and tire-scorching acceleration. This is brushless performance done the Traxxas way: brutally fast and easy to use.

Magnum 272R Transmission

The Magnum 272R transmission is built for the hard-hitting torque of Velineon brushless power. The 272R features a blue anodized aluminum motor plate, all-metal gears, and a sealed silicone-filled 4-gear differential. Slash VXL’s extreme HD driveshafts are also strengthened with large-diameter half shafts for increased power handling.

Extreme HD Suspension

Factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty axle carriers, caster blocks, and steering blocks, are beefed-up with extra material to give Slash VXL ultimate strength and durability. With the addition of HD suspension arms made from Traxxas’ toughest composite material, this is the strongest suspension ever offered in a 2WD Slash.

Clipless Body Mounting

Slash VXL’s clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the racing gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly, but release in just seconds for fast battery swaps on the pit bench. This convenient hidden latching system replaces traditional body clips with large, reinforced panels to maintain body integrity and resist pull-through damage.

TQi 2.4ghz Radio System

Traxxas TQi radio system delivers superior range, 30 model memory, fast frame rate, ease of use and maximum control. Add the optional Bluetooth Wireless Module for ease of programming and if you have the optional sensors installed you can get real time telemetry sent to your smartphone using the Traxxas Link App.

Traxxas Stability Management

TSM works behind the scenes to help harness Slash VXLs extreme brushless power for maximum acceleration and ultra-precise control. Adjust the amount of assistance you get by turning the multifunction knob left (for less) or right (for more).

Waterproof Electrics

Traxxas patented waterproofing systems make Slash EHD VXL as waterproof as possible for all weather running (but not submersible).

Other Features

Extreme HD Driveshafts - Always the weak point when you have massive launch power, the driveshafts have been thickened up in the shafts and unis to make them more twist and shear resistant.

Hydraulic Ultra Shocks - Oil filled shocks utilise x-ring technology for a perfect seal and super smooth compression. Ultra shocks can be cutomised with optional pistons, oils and springs to perfectly match your terrain.

335mm Long Wheelbase Chassis - Provides stability on high speed straights and has 3.5inches of ground clearance to prevent bottoming out. The chassis has water drain holes and a battery tray channel to route the servo wires.

All Round Crash Protection - Slash has sturdy crash resistant bumpers at the front and rear and side nerf bars to protect from side impacts.

Steering Servo - Traxxas 2075 9kg waterproof digital steering servo provides a crisp, reliable steering experience for ultimate steering control.

Adjustable Battery Hold-Down - Battery strap can be turned over for taller and shorter batteries but if you want to run a much larger battery you might need the optional tall battery hold-down set.

Short Course Wheels & Tyres - Slash EHD VXL runs on BFGoodrish Mud Terrain T/A tyres and dual profile 2.2"/3" wheels. The tyres have excellent grip in the dirt and a measured degree of slide on pavement. Their authentic scale appearance and realistic performance add to the racing experience.

Bellcrank Steering - Minimises bump steer for precise wheel placement and increased cornering stability.

Adjustable Steel Turnbuckles - Allow for trackside adjustments of camber and toe tuning for the best possible driving experience.

Torque Control Slipper Clutch - Semi-metallic pads and finned aluminium pressure plates dissipate heat to provide consistent traction and the semi-metallic pad composition remains stable across a wide temperature range for smooth, linear engagement.
